Welcome to the Fremont Public Schools Frameworks Accreditation Website created for the 2021 external team visit of Fremont Public Schools. We are excited about the growth and changes happening in our schools and community. We would like to share how the Fremont Public School District is adapting to these changes.
Within the last 5 years, the Fremont community has added a major corporation in Lincoln Premium Poultry and observed the growth and transition of major employers such as Wholestone Farms and Methodist Fremont Health as well as the introduction of many ancillary and independent businesses. These changes have resulted in increased population as well as the emergence of housing developments that provide a variety of living options from entry level affordable work-force housing to lake front properties within the city limits. These changes coupled with our diverse student population have challenged our schools to be flexible and adapt to meet the needs of our families.
Fremont Public Schools is proud of our community partnerships with a variety of entities including Metropolitan Community College, Midland University, City of Fremont, Fremont Chamber of Commerce, Greater Fremont Development Council, Fremont Family Coalition and many more. These partnerships are integral to community success and played a key role in the passage of a school bond proposal on September 14, 2021. The $123 million dollar bond was passed with a 65% majority and will dramatically improve the physical state of our buildings – positioning the District well for new and growing programs.
Fremont Public Schools mission is to produce creative, adaptable, productive citizens who are committed to lifelong learning. We have worked to develop and implement a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework to efficiently and effectively meet the needs of all of our students. Teachers are equipped with evidence-based instructional practices paired with high quality curriculum and instructional materials to meet each student where they are and enable them to achieve to their fullest potential.
This website is not an all-inclusive compilation of documents, but rather a snapshot of the work, activities and processes that guide our district. Through this process the mission of Fremont Public Schools is being implemented utilizing our Board / District Goals to provide direction and focus.
