WELCOME TO WASHINGTON
Welcome to Washington School!
At Washington, we implement a Positive Behavior Intervention and Support System (PBIS) to establish and maintain a safe and effective school environment that maximizes opportunities to attain the academic success and behavioral competence of all students.

I am Responsible
Washington School offers a dual language program where students are provided equal opportunities to learn in both English and Spanish. In our dual language classrooms students from both English and Spanish speaking families work together to develop their language skills. One goal of the dual language program is that children not only learn to speak two languages but also learn to read and write in both English and Spanish.
Washington School also offers traditional learning opportunities in classrooms where the children learn in English. Whether in the dual language or traditional classroom, our goal is the same. We want all of our students to succeed to their full potential! We take pride in offering students learning opportunities that are engaging. We set high expectations for student achievement and then work hard to help all students succeed!
Washington School has an outstanding preschool program. We feel fortunate to be in a school district where all elementary schools offer half-day preschool programs! At preschool, students are given opportunities to learn, explore, play, and develop. We offer morning and afternoon sessions for preschool. Preschool registration takes place in the spring of each school year for the following sessions.
The 21st Century Community Learning Center is a free after school program that is offered at Washington School. The mission of the after school program is to provide youth opportunities to develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. The hours of operation for our after school program are the time of school dismissal until 5:45 each day school is in session.
We think Washington School is a special place! Our staff makes a commitment to families to care for and teach their children in ways we want provided for our own children. We work together to create a community where everyone is welcome!
