Fremont, Neb. – (Mar. 24, 2020) Fremont Public Schools will be following the recommendation of Three Rivers Public Health Department to plan on students not returning to school during the 2019-2020 school year. This guidance is being provided as a matter of planning on the behalf of families and in the best interest of our students, staff and community to keep everyone safe and healthy. 

We are still hopeful that school will resume yet this spring. Fremont Public Schools will continue to operate under this recommendation moving forward unless otherwise directed by Three Rivers Public Health Department.

Learning will continue throughout the remainder of the scheduled 2019-2020 school year by alternative learning options, called the Continuation of Learning Plan. Teachers will begin working on phase two this week. Phase one of the plan can be accessed currently on the District’s website at fremonttigers.org. The next steps for continuous learning will be shared with families throughout the next week.

At this time all school buildings are closed to outside access. Parents will be contacted by their student’s building administration in regard to options for retrieving materials and personal belongings from the schools. 

There are several Spring events that families would like to know the status of. We will be working through how we will manage those events and when decisions are made they will be communicated out.

We will continue to update parents and students as information is available. Our Thursday messaging will continue as an update on a weekly basis via School Messenger, text and email.

Las Escuelas Públicas de Fremont Seguirán la Recomendación del Departamento de Salud Pública de Three Rivers (Tres Ríos)

Fremont, Neb. – (24 de marzo de 2020) Las Escuelas Públicas de Fremont seguirán la recomendación del Departamento de Salud Pública de Three Rivers (Tres Ríos) para planear que los estudiantes no regresen a la escuela durante el año escolar 2019-2020. Esta orientación se proporciona como un asunto de planificación para familias y en el mejor interés de nuestros estudiantes, el personal y la comunidad para mantener a todos seguros y saludables.

Todavía tenemos la esperanza de que la escuela se reanudará esta primavera. Las Escuelas Públicas de Fremont continuarán operando bajo esta recomendación en adelante, a menos que el Departamento de Salud Pública de Three Rivers (Tres Ríos) indique lo contrario.

El aprendizaje continuará durante el resto del año escolar 2019-2020 programado mediante opciones de aprendizaje alternativas, llamado el Plan de Continuación del Aprendizaje.
