Welcome to Clarmar Elementary, where we recognize that each student is a unique learner and a strong partnership between all stakeholders exists to achieve excellence in education. Clarmar provides a safe learning environment with a positive climate where everyone is encouraged to work together and succeed. We hold high expectations for student learning to further academic and lifelong success.

Clarmar serves approximately 230 students in two sections each of grades K-4 with the exception of three sections in kindergarten. We are a certified Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBiS) school and incorporate proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments. Our team strives to help students develop and learn necessary curricular skills while enjoying their educational process through active participation, technology resources, and research based instructional practices. In addition to classroom instruction, Clarmar students participate in media, art, music, and physical education. Reading recovery and special education services are available as well. Clarmar offers an After School Care Program through the YMCA in which Y staff members come to our school to provide care for students after school hours. We also work with the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging and have the wonderful services of foster grandparents.

Our PTA is very active in supporting school purposes through special events such as Dr. Seuss’ Birthday Celebration, Fall Festival, Exploration Day, Young Authors, Grandparent’s Day, and Trilearnathon, etc., that our students and families look forward to throughout the school year. Clarmar is supported through partnerships with several local businesses whose contributions enhance our quest to increase student learning. We welcome parents, volunteers and community resources and believe that together, these relationships form the best learning environment possible for our students.

I am excited to be a part of the Clarmar community and I look forward to working with our families and friends. The staff and I believe our school is a place where everyone feels at home and is a part of the Clarmar family.
