Family Connection

Family Connection is a comprehensive website that can be used to help make decisions about courses, colleges, and careers.  The counselors can track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that is specific to our school.

Students and parents are able to do the following using Family Connection:

  • View guidance news bulletins
  • Create a resume
  • View when college reps will be at FHS and sign up to see them
  • Complete a college search
  • Develop a prospective college list
  • Access scholarship search engines (over a hundred national scholarships)
  • Complete surveys (career interest inventory, strengths finder)
  • Do a career search which would include videos and links to colleges that offer a major toward that career
  • Compare colleges
  • Link to selected third party resources (ACT, College Board, Financial Aid, College Athletics, College Searches, etc.)
  • Track deadlines of colleges
  • ACT test prep

Please take some time to log into your Family Connection account and see what this tool has to offer.  You can find the link to Family Connection by going to the FHS webpage at and clicking on “Counseling”.  On the Counseling page you will find the link to Family Connection at the bottom of the page.  Students can access Family Connection by using their Power School login information.  Parents need to call their student’s counselor to get their login information.
