Empowering Futures: Dual Credit Scholarships

At Fremont High School, dual‐credit opportunities have become an integral part of our students’ academic journey. Through a robust partnership with Metropolitan Community College—bolstered by Unicameral appropriations—juniors and seniors can enroll in college‐level courses right here on the Fremont campus, earning credit toward their future degrees while gaining hands‐on, career‐ready skills in the CTE Center. Our district’s unwavering goal is that every graduate leaves with at least one semester of college credit under their belt—a launchpad for both academic success and lifelong achievement.

Recognizing that even minimal costs for tuition, textbooks, or specialized equipment can pose a barrier, the Fremont Public School Foundation established its Dual Credit Financial Assistance Fund in the second semester of the 2017–18 school year. Under the leadership of former Executive Director Joe Sajevic, nearly 250 students from economically diverse backgrounds have received scholarship awards to cover these expenses, ensuring that financial need never stands between a Tiger and their educational ambitions.

You can make a tangible difference in the lives of our students by contributing to the Dual Credit Assistance Scholarship. Every gift—whether made online, mailed to the Foundation office, or donated through events like the annual Jim Ebers Golf Classic—directly offsets costs for tuition, books, and supplies, helping Fremont students pursue career pathways and college credit with confidence.
