Annual Sustaining Fund Campaign

As the Fremont Public School Foundation enters its third decade of supporting the students, staff, and community of Fremont, we think it is a good time to pause and celebrate! For more than 20 years, our Foundation has been the driving force in helping to provide more than one million dollars of private funding for the Fremont Public Schools. Major projects and partnerships include:

  • Purchase of 750 Chromebooks for grades 5-12

  • Renovation of the Nell McPherson Theater at Fremont High School

  • Placement of automated external defibrillators and Emergency Radio upgrades in all schools

  • Academic recognition of more than 900 top graduating seniors from Fremont High School

  • Purchase and installation of digital projectors in all core classrooms

  • Purchase of over $250,000 worth of iPads and apps for elementary classrooms

And most recently, partnered with the FPS Board of Education and Administration to raise more than $2 million in pledges to support the sustainability of the Career Technical Education Center and more than $1.2 million in support of the new FHS Athletic Stadium.

Every year we ask perspective donors to participate in the Annual Sustaining Fund Campaign of the Foundation, which makes it possible for this important work to continue. Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible, and will be acknowledged in the Cornerstone, the official publication of the Foundation.

The Big Give

Every May in Fremont, the community comes together for The Big Give—an inspiring, one-day event that mobilizes nonprofits and prospective donors to generate meaningful contributions. Among the participating organizations, the Fremont Public School Foundation stands out by leveraging this opportunity to drive its Core Initiatives, which enhance the educational experience for K-12 students through awards, scholarships, creative grants, and targeted classroom support, ensuring a direct, positive impact on our local schools.

The Annual Jim Ebers Golf Classic

Who doesn’t like to hit the links with friends to support a good cause? Every summer, we host a golf tournament to raise funds that enable us to keep helping teachers and honoring students. Starting in 2014, we named the tournament the Jim Ebers Classic in honor of everything Jim did over the years to help support the teachers and students of Fremont Public Schools. In 2025, the Tournament is scheduled for July 14th and will be held at the Fremont Golf Club.
