Dr. Christopher Loofe
Fremont, Neb. – (Jan. 28, 2025) Fremont Public Schools is excited to announce Dr. Christopher Loofe will be the next Assistant Superintendent of Business Services. Dr. Loofe will succeed Dr. Brad Dahl, who was appointed as the next Superintendent, replacing Mark Shepard, who announced his retirement in January.
Dr. Loofe is currently the Associate Superintendent/Director of Finance at Kearney Public Schools and has served in his current role since 2021. His previous administrative experience includes assistant principal and activities director for Omaha Public Schools and Millard Public Schools and high school principal at Kearney High School. Dr. Loofe also served as the Director of Academic Enrichment Programs for the University of Maryland. Prior to moving into administration Dr. Loofe served in various teaching and coaching capacities.
He earned his bachelor of science degree in sports management/business administration from Wayne State College and his bachelor of science and masters of education from the University of Nebraska - Omaha. Dr. Loofe earned his doctorate degree in educational administration from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln/Omaha. The appointment will be part of the recommended Personnel Report for the February Board of Education meeting. His duties in Fremont will begin on July 1, 2025.
