WELCOME TO FREMONT PUBLIC SCHOOLS

Mark Shepard
The mission of Fremont Public Schools
is to produce creative, adaptable, productive citizens
committed to lifelong learning.
Fremont Public Schools carries accreditation with the Nebraska State Department of Education as well as certification of regional quality. In April 2007 our school system became the first public school system in the state to receive “District Accreditation” which is the highest level granted by AdvancED, a regional accreditation agency. With that recognition, which is never guaranteed and cannot ever be taken for granted, Fremont joined a small handful of other districts in meeting those rigorous requirements. In April of 2011, Fremont Public Schools became the first school district in Nebraska to receive a five-year extension of that classification.
Our district, which covers more than 60 square miles in area, includes approximately 4,548 students; 1,274 of which are in the high school; 583 are in the seven-eight middle school; 678 are in the five-six school and 1,694 attend elementary grades kindergarten through four. There are 164 children enrolled in our pre-kindergarten special needs program, 64 students are enrolled in the alternative high school, and 91 receive special education services through the Pathfinder Program located at the Main Street Education and Administration Center.
We have a number of exciting initiatives underway at Fremont Public Schools and are pleased that you and your students will be part of it. We encourage you to search our website where you will find information concerning the schools including the activities calendar, meal menus, personnel and contact information. This site also provides information concerning registering for PowerSchool for Parents which allows you to monitor your child’s performance in school. We are proud of our community, our children, their parents and our faculty and support personnel who define our schools and our culture.
Please feel free to contact your school or any of the district offices if you have questions concerning a specific area.
