The Fremont High School School-To-Career Office offers you a wealth of resources to assist in your career development. The following Career Resource Links contain information developed by our office to help you prepare for a successful career.
Military Opportunities
Military Academies:
Students interested in a United States Military Academy can come to the Guidance Office for more information about the nomination process. The applications process begins early in the high school career.

Scheduled visits are announced in the daily bulletin.

Today’s Military is a website sponsored by the United States Department of Defense. The purpose of this website is to educate parents and young adults about the opportunities available in the military. This site provides comparisons and links to the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, including the Reserve and National Guard branches.
Contact the military by phone or email for information on active duty and reserves.
ASVAB Testing:
The ASVAB is offered at FHS twice a year. Contact the School-to-Career office at 727-3970 for time/date.

Career Resources
Family Connection
Family Connection is a comprehensive website that can be used to help make decisions about courses, colleges, and careers. The counselors can track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that is specific to our school.
Students and parents are able to do the following using Family Connection:
View guidance news bulletins
Create a resume
View when college reps will be at FHS and sign up to see them
Complete a college search
Develop a prospective college list
Access scholarship search engines (over a hundred national scholarships)
Complete surveys (career interest inventory, strengths finder)
Do a career search which would include videos and links to colleges that offer a major toward that career
Compare colleges
Link to selected third party resources (ACT, College Board, Financial Aid, College Athletics, College Searches, etc.)
Track deadlines of colleges
ACT test prep
Please take some time to log into your Family Connection account and see what this tool has to offer. You can find the link to Family Connection by clicking here. On the Counseling page you will find the link to Family Connection at the bottom of the page. Students can access Family Connection by using their Power School login information. Parents need to call their student’s counselor to get their login information.
The FHS School-to-Career program provides opportunities for career camps, job shadowing, and community career exploration activities. Contact the School-to-Career office during the school year at 402-727-3970.
