SOAR Skill of the week:
Respect & Responsible

The Johnson Crossing/Fremont Middle School PTSA
board has made a motion to disolve their PTSA.
The basis for this:

  1. It recently was brought to their attention that they lost their 501(c)3 status back in 2011. It will cost the PTSA $800 to file for reinstatement with the IRS and may be responsible for paying any back taxes on income during that time frame. Our current checking account balance is approximately $2000.
  2. There has been no parent involvement. The current board is made up of all 8th grade parents and two 8th grade students. No one has come forward to take a position.

The Motion:
A motion was made during the last PTSA meeting
that “Due to lack of interest and involvement by parents,
students and teachers that the Middle School/Johnson
Crossing PTSA be dissolved at the end of the current
school year”. The final meeting to vote on this will
be April 28, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Middle School in
the library before the band concert.

Don’t forget! Every
Wednesday is 2:05
Dismissal for all
students!

Parents/Guardians
NESA/MAPS testing season is upon us.
It is vital that your child is present to
participate in these tests.

We encourage our parents to consider not
scheduling any doctor/dentist appointments,
etc. during this time as full participation is
required. Testing will run through May 6th.
Please be sure your student has a good night’s
sleep and healthy breakfast before each test
day begins.

Thank you for your ongoing support of Grant
students learning.
