An ELL summer school program is held at Linden Elementary starting the second week of July and lasting for four weeks. An ELL summer school program is held at Washington Elementary for Washington ELL students starting three weeks before school starts in July and lasting for two weeks. are held from 8:30-11:30, with lunch served at no cost from 11:30-12:00.

Qualification for the program is based on English Language Development Assessment (ELDA) scores and services received during the year. Qualification is determined at the student’s school of attendance. Incoming kindergartners who do not speak any English are also included. Students practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking English. Several field trips are scheduled in the community, as well.
